Rick
was born and raised in Colorado, and considers it a
privilege to have been raised in a Christian home. In
the summer of 1974, when Rick was 8 years old, he trusted
in Jesus Christ as his Savior. From that time on Rick
knew he was called by God to be in full time vocational
ministry.
At
12 years of age, Rick began a life of commitment to
the work of the Lord. He attended Arvada Christian School
and Colorado Bible College, both ministries of his church.
He was a youth pastor at Colorado Bible Church, and
a youth intern in charge of the Youth Evangelism Outreach
at Community Baptist Church. Rick co-founded Grace Church
of Arvada in 1989 where he has led worship, started
the Youth Ministry and is currently the Lead Pastor.
He considers it his greatest privilege to serve with
the other Elder Pastors at Grace and the staff
members that God has blessed Grace with. Rick is currently
pursuing his Masters in church ministry from Trinity
Seminary.
Rick
is committed to the work of the Lord and to the ministry
here at Grace Church. He has been blessed for many years
to watch a dream of his unfold before his very eyes,
and he welcomes with great anticipation the future God
has in store as he seeks to serve his Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ.
Rick
has been married to his wife Shelley since 1985 and
they have four beautiful children: Jordan, Brittany,
Brooklyn, and Jared.

Jim

Assistant Director of Ministry
Elder
/ Pastor of Finances and Maturity
ph: 720-895-9032
Click

Jim began his walk with the Lord in March of 1984 after
a tremendous financial trial had come into his life.
Up until that point Jim had been raised in the Catholic
Church and lived his life in a very religious way. As
he was going through this financial struggle his religion
brought him no peace. He began to read the Bible and
realized that he had been trusting in his religion,
not in God, so he put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ,
his Savior. God was faithful to see Jim through that
time of crisis and has done the same in many others
since.
Jim and his wife Judy have been married since 1969 and
have two children; Lisa and Sarah. Lisa, her husband
Troy and their two sons, Tommy and Luke, also attend
Grace. Jim has worked as a General Contractor since
1968 in his own business. Judy works in the real estate
business after having been in the hair design business
for 25 years prior. Jim believes that God has greatly
blessed him as he has sought to serve as the Pastor
of Maturity and Pastor of Finances here at Grace.

Bob
grew up in West Arvada and attended St. Anne Catholic
School and Regis High during his formative years. Bob
graduated from Metropolitan State College with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in 1978. He married Linda in 1974 and
brought three beautiful children into the world: Nicole,
Kevin and Ashley.
In
1986, Bob began to explore the Scriptures and Christian
radio, challenging certain Catholic doctrines. Soon
thereafter, he met Don Miller, the Administrator of
Maranatha Christian Center in Arvada, who clearly explained
the gospel message of salvation "by grace alone
in Christ alone." Needless to say, God got Bob's
attention and he embraced the truth of Christ crucified
and raised from the dead, and was born again. From that
moment on, Bob looked forward to studying God's Word
and growing into the image of Christ Jesus.
Bob
shared his new-found faith with his family and shortly
thereafter, they each came to a saving knowledge of
Jesus. He and Linda joined Grace Church in the Fall
of 1989 and have been involved in the work of Grace
ever since. Bob became a Pastor-Elder in 1999 and graduated
with a Masters degree in Biblical Studies from Rocky
Mountain Bible College and Seminary in the Spring of
2003.
Bob
and Linda consider ministry a privilege and an honor
and look forward to witnessing and discipleship opportunities
in their neighborhood and workplace.

I
trusted Christ at age 6, when a man named Joe Potter
led me to the Lord on a Sunday School Bus on the way
home from my first visit to Sunday school at Colorado
Bible Church. Three years later, this church founded
Arvada Christian School. I was one of only 19
students enrolled that year (along with Greg Stier)
and one of only two in the fourth grade. Rick
came to ACS when I was in the 8th grade and little did
I know that I had just met my future husband.
I graduated from that Christian school with a love for
God and a passion for the lost. After graduation,
I attended Colorado Bible College, where my desire to
serve God was cemented even deeper as I learned many
tools and methods for ministry. I had no idea
where this life would take me, but I knew from an early
age that I desired to be in ministry. Rick and
I were married in 1985 and God has blessed us with four
children and the wonderful opportunity to serve Him
here at Grace. As I look back I am thankful for
the people God has used to influence my life, as I look
forward I am excited to see how He will continue to
work in my life and the lives of my children.

LeAnne Stauffer is originally from Illinois. She heard
the gospel a few times growing up but God used some
difficult circumstances during her senior year of high
school to bring her to the saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ. She moved from Illinois to Colorado the first
time in 1980 to attend Western Bible College. She returned
to Illinois in 1982 and became a Registered Nurse and
worked with Oncology patients in many different settings.
She moved back to Colorado 10 years later and continued
to work in an Outpatient Oncology clinic in Boulder.
She
started attending Grace in 1992 and met her husband
Jeff, later that year. They were married in October
1993 and their son Mitchell was born in 1998. After
Mitchell was born she set nursing aside and came on
staff as a part-time receptionist in 1999. She loves
music and has served on the worship team since 1992.
In 2000, she made a switch from the front office staff
to assisting in the Worship department. In 2003, she
switched again, this time to the Pastoral department.
LeAnne realized her S.H.A.P.E. involved caring for people
and is now able to use those gifts that God has given
her in assisting Pastor Rick and the other pastors.

Pastor
of Family Care Ministry
ph: 720-895-9035

Budd
became a believer as a young teenager, but within a
few years rebelled, due to home life. It wasn't until
after he had married Brenda in 1965 and later became
a father of two sons that he realized he needed Christ
back in his life. His relationship with Christ has continued
to mature over the years and even more since Grace Church
started. His God-given family consists of two sons,
Rick (& wife Shelley), and Rob (& wife Julie)
and seven grandchildren. Budd and Brenda celebrated
their 40th wedding anniversary on September 18, 2005. Budd
has served at Grace Church since day one, March 1989. Budd served with Jonathan Smith, Greg Stier,
Rick Long and Brad Holder (now with the Lord) on the
original Leadership Board for the first five and a half
years. Voluntarily serving during this time, he
was the Secretary/Treasurer, organizing special events
such as potlucks or fellowship events for the church,
serving with the youth as far as providing refreshments
and snacks for youth nights and special events to help
pay for future youth activities. He, along with
his wife, has always been an active member, serving
on the Worship Team, with Cantatas, kitchen, funerals, greeting,
shaking hands or hugging other members, and helping
wherever there was a need. He became part of the
Grace Church Staff in May of 2000, as the Pastor of
Home Fellowship Group Ministries and now working as
Pastor of Family Care Ministries.
Since moving from Pastor of Home Fellowship Groups to Pastor of Family Care, Budd's goal is to minister to the needs of all Grace families by assisting them with life issues and encouraging them in their walk to mature in Christ. He
believes our first priority must be God the Father,
Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and then our families
will find unity as God had planned.

Kathy was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, growing
up in a very loving and caring Christian home. At the
age of four, her parents moved their family (her and
her three older brothers) to Arvada, and she has lived
here ever since. She was baptized as a small child,
and accepted Jesus as her personal savior in Sunday
school when she was nine years old. Her father passed
away in1994 and just knowing that he was a believer
made things so much easier. From that day on, she believes
that God has continued to reassure her that being a
believer has brought her closer to her faith and her
walk with God.
Kathy
and her husband Gary attended Arvada High School, got
married in 1986 and have a beautiful daughter Kymberlee.
Kathy started attending Grace with her mother-in-law
in 1991 and all it took was one service, hearing the
gospel presented in such a clear way, and she was hooked.
She joined the Grace Church staff as Administrative
Assistant, part time in the summer of 2000, and went
full time in June of 2002.

After much prayer Rob and Julie were blessed with three
healthy children: Austin, Makena and Joshua.

I was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. My family was a Christian family and I learned most of my faith from my mother and grandmother – two Godly women. I accepted Jesus as a young child in the First Christian Church in Pawhuska. I still visit relatives in Oklahoma often – it will always be “home” because of the wonderful memories of growing up there.
My family (mom, dad, sister and I) moved to Colorado in 1952; I was in second grade. I remember growing up on “Goat Hill,” going to church every Sunday – and not even realizing that by society’s standards, we were poor. Growing up, I always knew two things, I loved Jesus and I wanted to be a teacher. After going through school in Adams County District 50 schools, I went to the University of Northern Colorado to become a teacher. I got my first teaching position in 1969 in the same district where I went to school; and, I taught for 36 years in that same district. During that 36 years, I married Barry Schreiber, had two beautiful children – Joshua and Rebecca. Also, I went through a divorce, saw my Mom and Dad go to be with the Lord, lost my son to suicide at the age of 20, was blessed to see two beautiful grandchildren born and lost my ex-husband to suicide at the age of 57. Through all of those trials, God was the constant in my life, he carried me through the hard times and brought me to Grace Church. It would have been impossible for my family and me to survive and grow in our walk with the Lord, through these times, if we didn’t have the support and love of the Pastors and staff at Grace. I currently live with my daughter, Becky, and my two wonderful grandchildren, Brooklyn and Brendan.

I was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado and at the age of 2, my Mother and Father along with my younger brother Steve moved to Denver. At the age of 5, my brother and I were asked to attend a local Baptist church in Arvada where we attended but yet never really understood how to get to Heaven. It was not until I was 11 when by God's awesome grace, I met Rick and Rob Long and began to see how a family truly loves God and each other. I was privileged to see a loving mother and father in Budd and Brenda and to see how their relationship with God emulated every aspect of their life. But when I was 14, I walked away from God and entered into a troubling time in my life. Yet in my selfishness, God was their to protect me and keep me from serious harm. Being then an introverted loner, I was desperate for knowing and understanding God in my life. Then miraculously at age 17, Rick had dared me to ask my parents to attend what was then Arvada Christian School. Knowing my parents and the fact that they were not saved, I knew this was going to take a miracle. Long story short, I was able to attend and trusted Christ as my savior on August 29, 1983 and later met my beautiful wife Cris, who is truly my best friend! I was able to graduate with my best bud and my future wife in 1985. Thank you Long family for never giving up on me and showing me God's love and Grace! P.S - Thank you also for 3,913 meals I ate at your house - I owe you!

Shalene was born and raised in Colorado and came to know Christ as her savior when she was 4. She attended a Christian Junior High and High School. She heard of Grace through a friend at school. When her and her family attended, they just fell in love with the honesty and truth of the Gospel. She married her high school sweetheart and they began raising their family at Grace. As the years went on she started to grow an interest in video and editing and heard of the opportunity to serve in the Multimedia department at Grace. She was volunteering her time filing videos and inputting the information in the computer until God opened the door for her to work one day a week in the multimedia department. Although she was used to being a stay at home mom of 3 children, going to work was a change, but God has made the transition an easy one. She continues to see God working in the lives of her family. Grace has been a wonderful place to raise 3 beautiful children to know Christ as their savior and to learn how to show the lost the love of Christ through her life.
