About Us / What to Expect
What to Expect at a Weekend Service.
Many people are apprehensive about going to a church for the first time. We want to put you at ease by describing what to expect when you visit us.
There are four services to choose from. Saturday evening
at 5:00pm and Sunday morning at 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30am.
Parking
You will be greeted in our large parking lot by cheerful
parking attendants, and they can direct you to where
you need to go. We have overflow parking behind the
church and alongside 69th Avenue.
Sunday School
A Nursery is available for ages 0-2yrs. and is upstairs
to the south of the sanctuary. We have an excellent
Sunday School program downstairs for 3 yr. olds through
6th grade. We encourage you to let your children experience
the Word of God on a level that they can understand
and enjoy from highly qualified teachers who love children.
For those of you with infants we have a nursing mother’s
room just off of the foyer where you can still see and
hear the service. We encourage students from Jr. High
through College to participate and worship with their
parents in the main worship service. There are programs
specifically tailored for the youth during the week.
The Sanctuary is to the right as you enter through the front doors. As you enter the auditorium, an usher will hand you a bulletin. In the bulletin you will find information about all of the things that are going on at Grace, as well as an outline that will help you follow along with the sermon.
During the service, you will not be singled out as a visitor. You will be allowed to quietly observe for your own spiritual edification.
Grace Church is a casual environment. We want our congregation and visitors to feel comfortable and welcome. We encourage you to come and visit us - just as you are. If you wish to "dress up" or if you prefer blue jeans, we want to welcome you to our church.
Each service often begins with a few worship songs, and a short time of greeting those seated around you.
Text for the songs as well as the sermon is projected on the screen at the front of the church. We invite you to participate in this exciting part of our service as a way for you to worship and praise the Lord. Enjoy the music and worship the Lord!
An offering is not taken during
the service, but for our church members and those who
would like to support the Lord's work here at Grace,
we have offering boxes on the walls as you enter the
sanctuary and one as you exit the building downstairs.
As our guest, we only ask that you turn in your guest
card found in the bulletin into one of these offering
boxes, so please do not feel obligated to participate
in the offering unless you would like to. We also have Direct Giving available. For more information on Direct Giving, click here.
