Get Connected / Class 101 / Class 101 FAQ's
Q: How long is Class 101?
A: The class lasts for 2 hours and is offered the first weekend of every month. You can attend on a Saturday night or Sunday morning.
Q: What if at the end of the Class 101 I don’t know if I want to become a member now?
A: That’s fine, you can make that choice when you feel comfortable: this is a personal decision we suggest you give careful consideration and is between you and God.
Q: What if I have already been baptized by immersion after I trusted Christ, do I have to be re-baptized to become a member?
A: Not necessarily. You may be baptized again here at Grace, but the best thing to do is to evaluate what you learn in 101 Class about what the purpose of baptism is and then decide if you have fulfilled that purpose in your previous baptism.
Q: I was baptized at another church by sprinkling, does that count?
A: One of the membership requirements is being baptized by immersion. Jesus was baptized by immersion, every baptism in the bible was by immersion, and the word baptize literally means “to dip under water”.
Q: After I finish Class 101, can I immediately go on to Class 201?
A: As long as you have fulfilled the requirement of baptism, definitely you can go on to Class 201. In fact, we strongly suggest that you take Class 201 as soon as possible.
Q: Is there child care available for the Classes?
A: Child care is available. Upon checking in your child, please let the teacher know you will be taking the Growth Connection classes so they know where to locate you.
