Ministries / Lead or Start a Ministry
Want to lead and / or start a new ministry?
Guidelines and Expectations
- Before leading a ministry, all leaders must have attended and fulfilled all the requirements of the Growth Connection classes level 101-401, including signing the Membership Agreement, be baptized and complete the SHAPE profile/interview process. We want to be sure you are in agreement with the doctrine, philosophy, and direction of Grace Church.
- All ministries must be approved to ensure they are compatible with our church direction and philosophy.
- The ministry will not harm the testimony of the church.
- The ministry will not profit you or anyone in your ministry financially.
- The ministry leaders will maintain communication with the pastors / staff.
- The ministry does not expect the staff
to run it.
What is a Servant Ministry
- Servant Ministries are not staff led
ministries, but, by their very name, Ministries led by
volunteer members of the body at Grace who desire to use
their S.H.A.P.E to
serve other members of our body and those in our community.
- The purpose of Servant Ministries is to
meet the needs of and serve the local body at Grace, as
well as reach out to the surrounding community and beyond.
- Some ministries care for physical needs, such as food, housing or auto needs, while others may care for spiritual needs or facilitate fellowship within the body.
- Ministries come in all shapes and sizes to meet the needs of the body and to reach out to others. All the ministries of Grace fit in one of these categories: Creative, Life, Outreach, Support and Service.
Support from Staff & Pastors
- Upon approval, we will schedule an appointment to share your vision and ideas and you will be given our Grace Servant Ministry Handbook to help you with all the details.
- The Staff and Pastors are committed to
helping you grow spiritually, as well as equipping you
with the tools to do your ministry.
- Though, they can not possibly do the work, they are there to help guide and direct you with your ministry needs.
- As God is continually working at Grace, the needs of the ministry continually change. These changing needs of ministry often bring about staff level changes that allow each pastor and staff member to use their unique S.H.A.P.E. to its maximum potential to better care for the body here at Grace. These changes may effect who your point person is, or who to direct certain questions to.
- For questions regarding your ministry contact the Ministry Assistant
- The staff and Pastors of Grace will be in continual prayer for you, your team and your ministry.
