2010 is an exceptionally exciting year for Grace Church as we’ll see how God uses a new facility to reach new believers.  We will continue to provide the latest information about the construction of the facility through the web site. Here’s where you can find the information:

June 25th Update:
We have gone from a parking lot … to a hole in the ground … to this crazy metal structure.  It probably seems like we are not moving along at all on this project of ours; but here’s some background information - so you have an idea of what’s happening. First off, there is a lot of time, effort and work that goes into building the foundation; we need it to be as perfect as we can get it, because everything is built on that foundation! If the foundation is off, then everything else is off!  We must take our time to make sure this is right! Speed is not our friend here.

           He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock.
          When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.

So just as God started with the foundations of the earth, we need to start with the foundation for our building.  
 
          In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
                                                                                                                          Psalm 102:25
 
Next week we will be pouring the concrete into the forms and we need your prayer that it will go smoothly - that there will be no complications. Pray for safety and wisdom for the men working. Because of the height of the wall, they will leave the forms on until the following week, and then strip the forms to reveal the concrete … and our finished product.
 
What an exciting time to see the building moving forward - all in God's timing!! As it was in the time when David was king, the Levites sang praises to the Lord when the foundation of the temple of the Lord was built; we too can celebrate and sing praises to the Lord next week when our foundation is complete!

          When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, the priests in their vestments and
          with trumpets, and the Levites (the sons of Asaph) with cymbals, took their places to praise the LORD, 
          as prescribed by David king of Israel. With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the LORD: "He is good; 
         his love to Israel endures forever." And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the LORD,
         because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

April 9th Update:
Two words - "diggin' and haulin'".  The construction company is doing a great job to get the hole dug for the foundation to be built!  2 Timothy 2:19 (MSG) . . . God's firm foundation is as firm as ever . . .

March 16th Update:
EXCAVATION HAS BEGUN! The staff are having a hard time focusing on their work watching the back hoe tear up the upper parking lot. It is finally happening! Visit the construction web site for pictures or just drive by and look for the BIG yellow back hoe.

March 3rd Update:
A silt fence was installed on our property today.  The purpose is to keep erosion and litter from exiting our site. 
The City of Arvada will be inspecting the fence to make sure it meets their requirements.  Once we have their approval,
they will release it to the building department and then we can get the building permit.

January 2010 Update:
We are in the final steps to get the building permit from the City of Arvada. Once we get that permit, we will break ground. We expect to break ground this Spring and anticipate we will complete the project by the end of 2010. A more detailed timeline will be provided once we break ground.
